Sing it Loud! Is the vocal institute in Antwerp for anyone with a passion for singing. Whether young or older, everybody is welcome here. We teach, accept, and encourage all voices and vocal styles. It is our belief that everybody can learn how to sing. Just like you can learn how to play an instrument, you can learn how to use and control your voice.

Many think they will never be able to sing that high note or nail that riff. They think singing is a talent that you either have or not. Do you really think all the great singers are born like that? No! They learned how to use their voice by training and practice. The foundation we need is a solid technique and a healthy use of our voice. And this is something we can teach you!

Every voice is unique and, thus, requires a unique way of developing it. Everyone learns at their own pace. Therefore, we like to focus on the person behind the voice as well; maybe even primarily. We do not believe in scolding or reprimanding; you are here to find the pleasure in discovering your voice and the possibilities it has.

Ultimately, singing is not just using your voice, but also requires tons of your personality to shine through! It is about inserting emotion in a song, touching people’s hearts, and making a song your own, giving a unique performance. Don’t be a copy of the artist; be the artist!

We work on the total package, to enable you to become the best performer you can be.

My name is Hanne, I’m 27 years old, and have been passionately immersed in singing and music for over ten years. I was always looking for new challenges, styles, and techniques to immerse myself in. My primary area of interest has always been musical theatre. That is why I think it essential to be familiar with a broad range of musical styles. Today, musical theatre is broad; styles range from opera to classical musicals to pop/rock. The basis is a healthy use of the voice.

In 2015 I left for London to be an au-pair. I had auditioned for ‘West End Masterclass” (A preparatory course with weekly classes and masterclasses for youth with ambition and potential to be accepted to a musical theatre course) and was able to start immediately. To keep training I also enrolled in the Guildford School of Acting’s Saturday course. My weekends were filled with musical theatre training and I loved it. I was completely sold!

Once I returned to Belgium, I went in search of more technique-based training. I had a need for tools to explain what I was doing exactly. That is when I found the ‘Estill Voice Training System’, an extremely technical and analytical technique system that describes the physiology surrounding voice and singing.

In 2018 I was able to do a year of study at one of the United Kingdom’s most prestigious drama schools: Mountview Academy. I also started teaching on the side. I often encountered many on audition days there that had no clue what to expect. I started offering them lessons and thoroughly enjoyed helping and gaining this experience.

When I returned to Belgium, I felt ready to make a proper start as a vocal coach.

Besides the training I mentioned I have been able to learn from many different teachers working at some of the top drama schools and conservatoires, and even have performed on the West End and Broadway. This all helped me gain insight into how to help others discover their voice and be the best teacher I can be.
